One wall is nothing but a giant television that showcases the celebrities who have stopped by, but the volume was muted. Maybe it's to protect the candy from the Florida sun, but it's cold inside. At $20-$30 each for a brightly colored cocktail with a cute name, it wasn't worth it for us.

It has a full bar, which is fantastic for parents who made the mistake of bringing their children there to load them up on pure sugar, but it also serves (get it?) to house all the alcohol required for some ridiculous drinks. The restaurant is split between the actual food area and a shop where all the sweet options are on display and for purchase you don't have to eat there. We had a reservation, so we went right on in.

Unfortunately, this is one location where the concept is much better than the execution. We went, like everyone who stops here, because we were attracted by the novelty of the over-the-top outlandish desserts. We will definitely not go back when in Orlando next time. It shows in their attitude and level of service. With the number of tourists in this location the restaurant doesn't need repeat customers. I guess you go to Sugar Factory only for cocktails which look great, but are also a bit pricey - most were priced at $ 39.00 with alcohol and $ 30.00 for the virgin version (which is not priced on the menu!!) I don't mind to pay a higher price for quality food and good service, but Sugar Factory was a disappointment. Food was bland and chicken on the salad dry. Silverware for five was brought in increments of two and three with ample of time in between.
When the other food was served there was also no silverware. a spoon got to the table the soup was almost cold. Soup was served without a spoon, so by the time. Drinks for five were served in four runs. From here it went downhill: Server was extremely slow and inefficient. We were off to a go start: seated five minutes earlier than we had the reservation. I am not impressed with this restaurant and I have never even gotten to eat there yet. Confusions among the employees in that area, but there needs to be a bar list kept so someone else is not seated before others waiting a bit longer. Always told it would be a long wait, but never is than someone else comes up without a reservation and they get seated. We have never gotten to eat at the Sugar Factory due to the confusion at the check in area. I went back to the check in desk and told the employee there and she said we would be the first to sit at the bar.Īll the employees at the front and no one was assisting in monitoring the bar for the next available seats which would have helped. I walked up to her and mentioned we were first to sit on the bar and had been waiting, but that didn't phase her. Two seats became open, but someone was scouting the bar and motioned for her husband to come over and she proceeded to sit down.
